There goes the red shoe laces

So today I was washing my shoes. The black canvas with red shoe laces, if you saw me wearing them before.

I can't remember the last time I washed them... They were so full of dirt and mud and all the things you can imagine. (I think I didn't wash them for the whole semester)

So I tried to "sidai" them at the window...
...and poured the water in pail RIGHT in the toilet bowl, didn't even missed one single drop of water...
...and saw something red in the water... flowing into the toilet bowl...

It just happened too fast. I couldn't do anything to rescue them... I pulled them out from toilet bowl but I didn't dare to use them again.

They will be picked up by the garbage truck on Monday I guess.

(I'll replace those red shoe laces with white one, for temporary)

Klang MT photos

Some photos during Klang mission trip. Couldn't post all of them. Arg. But these are nice photos too =)

(Listening to John Mayer - Say)

I took their photos when they're eating. I'm being with those younger kids. Below 7 or below 5 I can't remember... and which means... harder to control > <"
Can't even see his eyes...
Sweet girl~
Haha... Very cute girl. Chubby somemore. I could hardly carry her (when she asked me to help her to sit on toilet bowl)
The brother of the chubby girl upstairs... Both of them eat a lot (and what he's avoiding? Camera?)

And now only I see that I missed out Kiew Siong's bookmark!!! Leh Mei's was repeated. Aww~ But nevermind, we have wonderful memories. That's the best thing =)

Movies!!! Gulliver's Travels & Little Fockers

I think these two are the best among the movies during 2011 year end.

p/s: vote for Little Fockers -- I'm on Ben Stiller's side =)

The Lion and me

I watched all 3 episodes of Narnia in cinema (if I'm not mistaken), and I think it's worth it =)

I remembered in the first movie ("the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"), the scene where Aslan died and sacrifice his children to save Edmund really touched my heart.

C.S. Lewis wrote the story and characters in a way that they reflect what happened in real life. That scene just remind me of the love of God when Jesus died for our sins to redeem us.

And HOORAY!!! Aslan lives! It was just the movie plot, but in reality, Jesus really lives! =)

Now in the 3rd movie, the scene which touched me is actually when Eustace (in the form of dragon) was injured by one of the seven lords, and he scratched himself, struggling, and in pain. Then Aslan was there. Aslan roared, and Eustace was in flame, and turned back to a boy.

When Eustace told Lucy and the others about what happened, he said "It sort of hurt but it was a good pain, like when you pull a thorn from your foot."

Just like the times (lots of times) when I was struggling, and I could not overcome the sin or problems that I had, and God helped me every time, He never forsakes me.

Through this movie, God speaks to me, right into my heart. Just as Lucy who heard Aslan called out to her, whenever she was tempted, or when she needs Aslan to guide her.

May we all heard the voice of the Lion, and know His name in this world.

"Lucy..."

"But you shall meet me, dear one," said Aslan.

"Are you there too, Sir?" said Edmund.

"I am," said Aslan. "But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there."

(from the book The Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader)

Holiday plan

Yay I have made a holiday plan

At least a draft lah

There are some things that must be done:
1. Gospel Night invitation cards
2. Format/fix my laptop (it just black out)
3. Prepare to pass the CLC2U and CLC blog thing to the successor

There are things which are not urgent, but included in my to-do list:
1. Learn something: a language, a computer language, etc
2. Intensive guitar skill training (how intensive it can be?)
3. Some videos/animation eh a Christmas project

Woo so many things to be done until 2nd January 2011. My to-do list didn't include helping to do household chores all those things (I mean I'll do, but not included in the list).

Make the holiday a meaningful one!

Mission trip - Setia Alam 2010

Just came back from mission trip few days ago, now having flu and coughing... *cough cough

I think this is the first time I fell sick during mission trip. Quite a number of team members fell sick too.

Anyway we see how God work among us. Those few days during Children Camp I was having sore throat but when dealing with kids I got my voice back =) I'm one of the team leader for the Children Camp, and kids... when they're getting excited it's really out of control.

During this mission trip one of the lesson I've learn is to trust God. Have faith in Him, and we'll see Him do great things.

Amen. Praise God. (Hope I can upload some photos asap)

Christmas is near (Isaiah 6:9)

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
(Isaiah 9:6)

因有一婴孩为我们而生;
有一子赐给我们。
政权必担在他的肩头上;
他名称为
奇妙策士、全能的神、
永在的父、和平的君。
(以赛亚书9:6)
